Tremors (1990) - IMDB 7.1/10

Natives of a small isolated town defend themselves against strange underground creatures which are killing them one by one.

“You can just see the “Fun for the whole family!” review blurb on the VHS box at your local video store. And it is just that: a perfect, fun-for-the-whole-family movie about subterranean killer worms.” - Rotten Tomatoes

Big Trouble In Little China (1986) - IMDB 7.2/10

A rough-and-tumble trucker and his side kick face off with an ancient sorcerer in a supernatural battle beneath Chinatown.

“…Big Trouble in Little China rises to meet our elevated expectations; fast, chaotic and inventive, its yet another Carpenter film that really deserved more than it got from audiences at the time…” - Rotten Tomatoes
