On July 1st we held our 4th ever All American Street Party to celebrate American Independence Day here at Annie’s Burger Shack. It was a fabulous event with over 1600 people attending and with a record of over 1000 burgers sold on the day. Live music was playing all day in between games, talks and of course the Deathray Challenge.
We know that everyone who can had an amazing time, here are just a couple of the great things people said:
“An outside experience, we stumbled upon the annual party and thoroughly enjoyed”
“Food was amazing as described on menu if not better and the street party was great with live music games and great atmosphere”
“Lovely, friendly staff. The event had a great atmosphere and the burger I had was by far the best I can remember having”
“Sensational event, glad to be a part of it”
“Thank you to all at Annie’s for an amazing July 4th Party it just gets better every year!!”
We love having everyone here so much, partying and enjoying themselves that we have decided to do it again this summer and we are delighted to announce our first ever Annie’s Summer Brunch Bluegrass Jamboree at Annie’s Burger Shack!
An Americana Country brunch festival set on Broadway outside of Annie’s. Broadway is a magnificent street surrounded by the towering buildings of old lace factories and the event will be held on the 28th August (bank holiday Monday) between 10am and 4pm.
Throughout the day, the street will be filled with a vast array of food, craft and gift stalls all from local businesses, many of which are independent and all of which are renowned for quality and well known in the local area.
Alongside this, a selection of Bluegrass music including performances from the Allen Family Band, a bluegrass, country and old time mountain music band. They are from several generations of family musical groups. There will also be games, food and drink and demonstrations/talks on stage and the best news of all – Breakfast served all day until 4pm!
In Annie’s own words “I think that Nottingham needs a good ol’ kick of old time country and bluegrass… What better day than August Bank Holiday? We are gathering together some of Nottingham’s favourite independent businesses to bring a big dose of Americana to Broadway. We will be having country market stalls, food and music, hay rides, wind up toy races, games, food demonstrations, coffee and tea talks by the experts at 200 degrees and Lee Rosy’s, brunch cocktail and Fruit & Vegetables from the Thompson brothers… Plus some amazing local bands; we are so lucky to have The Allen Family Band - several generations of musicians playing Bluegrass, country and old time mountain music.”
We can’t wait to welcome you!
